San Antonio, TX Is Really Haunted
The Fang Baby

Back in the summer of 1960 a carload of friends had been out drinking and were considering whether or not to call it a night. In the history of recorded time, these events have always led to a story - whether be it legendary or a cautionary tale.
Pete Winslow drove his dad’s car that night with his best friend Eddie Delacruz riding shotgun. Berto Martinez and his brother Angel rode in the backseat. Despite them all being underage they had spent the evening drinking at the Azteca Cafe and maybe smoking a little bud.

Heading down the unlit Pearsall Road at about 1:00 a.m., the tires screeched as Pete slammed on the brakes. Eddie yelled for him to look out. Standing in the middle of the road was a barefoot toddler dressed in only a white t-shirt and a diaper. Blinded by the headlight the child didn’t move. They could see that his shirt and mouth were covered in blood.
Pete thought the toddler was hurt. When he started to get out of the car to help, Eddie reached across him and held the door closed to keep Pete inside. The guys in the back yelled at him to keep driving. An argument ensued. Prayers for protection went up as the Virgin Mary was invoked. But Pete was not deterred. He was the only one to get out of the car that night. And after a few minutes of searching, he couldn’t find the baby. He had no choice but to drive on and everyone got home safe.
Bright and early the next morning Pete decided to go back out to that spot on Old Pearsall Road to see if he could find any trace of the toddler. He parked on the shoulder about where he thought they had been the night before and went into the tall grass on the side of the road. After examining the area and finding nothing, he returned to the car only to discover that one of the tires was flat. Instead of changing it immediately, he felt sleepy. So he climbed into the backseat for a quick nap.
He never woke up.
Pete Winslow’s pale bloodless body was found around noon by Eddie who had stopped to help when he recognized the car. Pete’s throat had two puncture wounds and so did the flat tire.
There’s a big park there now. It’s some 500 acres that people are free to explore. But be careful at night. You might just run across the Fang Baby or his companion Pete.
