Goblins in Dallas

The White Rock Lake Goblin Death Cult

Wait. I know what you’re thinking. This can’t be real. The link at the bottom though will show you that it was covered by D Magazine in March 2021 and March 2022. Here’s the scoop.

White Rock Lake is a man-made reservoir as are most of the lakes in Texas. This one happens to be in northeast Dallas created in 1910. It also happens to be the site of many murders over the years and is haunted by a woman in white. (Maybe I’ll go into that one another time.) For today’s scribbling, we will go into the Goblin Death Cult that operated at the park from 2021 to 2022. It was always in March. But I haven’t heard anything about them this year - yet.

Back in 2021, visitors found strange wooden sculptures on the bank of the lake. They were crude and made of sticks lashed together. A primitive shelter was found a bit further off the path. Odd scat and claw marks were discovered nearby. Animal control was called in to investigate and they said this was not a known animal. Cryptozoologists had an opinion. They were signs of a goblin infestation.

Immediately it hit Instagram and other social media. That caught the eye of a paranormal group who traveled to Dallas to investigate. Their bodies, covered in carved sigils and runes, were found hanging in the trees drained of blood, field dressed like a deer.

The area was combed, but the predators were not found.

Last March when the shelters and primitive art returned locals avoided that area of the lake. No murders occurred, but several children went missing and have not yet been found.

We are not quite out of March yet. Perhaps they’ve moved on. Perhaps they’re awaiting the perfect sacrifices to come around. Perhaps they’re out there already.

If you visit Whiterock Lake, keep to the path. And maybe skip coming out in March altogether because you never know. Maybe you’re the one they’re waiting for.
